This collection consists of correspondence, 1810-1846, mostly relating to Dearborn's public life as collector of the port of Boston and adjutant general of Massachusetts. There is also a lengthy letter from John Adlum (1759-1836) to Dearborn concerning a horticultural matter. The collection also includes some correspondence, 1803-1825, of Dearborn's father, Henry Dearborn (1751-1829). This correspondence is miscellaneous in nature.
